MTS runs IELTS Teacher Training Workshop with The British Council in Galway, Ireland

Today (5 October) is World Teachers' Day, an international day held annually to celebrate the work of teachers worldwide and the value they add to society as a whole. Established in 1994, the day’s activities aim to focus on "appreciating, assessing and improving the educators of the world" and to provide an opportunity to appreciate our wonderful teachers.

One celebration of teachers that MTS is leading on at the moment, in collaboration with The British Council, our partner for delivering IELTS tests in the UK and Ireland, is a series of IELTS Teacher Training Workshops with teachers interested in increasing their knowledge of the IELTS exam, the world’s most recognised English language proficiency test.
Jointly organised by MTS and British Council and gratefully hosted by MTS’s partner venue Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre, the IELTS Teacher Training Workshop took place on 3-4 October 2023 in Galway.
Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre is one of MTS’s 24 IELTS test venues, and is situated in the heart of Galway, next to the famous Corrib River, the second fastest river in Europe! Test takers can book an IELTS test in Galway by visiting MTS's online booking site.
The event was attended by 16 qualified TEFL teachers from all across Ireland, including teachers travelling from Galway, Limerick, Dublin, Dromiskin, Kildare and Tralee.
The workshop was led by Daniella Di Mambro, a global IELTS teacher-trainer for The British Council, who gave our invited qualified TEFL teachers the chance to gain experience and knowledge in how to prepare their students for the IELTS exam.
The IELTS teacher training workshops are complementary to MTS’s comprehensive IELTS support portfolio including IELTS on Computer and IELTS on Paper test centres, IELTS group booking service, IELTS online preparation courses, ALAP-accredited online IELTS Teacher Training courses and IELTS mock tests.
