Transfers, refunds and cancellations

If you have purchased an AAT assessment from MTS that takes place in more than two weeks' time, you have a 14 day period from the date of payment within which you can change your exam date for free, or cancel your exam and receive a full refund.

Once the 14 day period from the date of payment has passed, you can request a transfer or refund but it will be subject to a £30 administration fee.

  • What do I need to register?

    To register for your AAT assessment, you need your AAT registration number. If you are not registered yet, you can register on AAT website.

  • How long till I get my exam results?

    For computer-marked exams, your results will be ready within 6 working days. For human-marked ones, your results will be ready within 6 weeks. Check the AAT website to find out more.

  • Can I apply for reasonable adjustments on exam day?

    No, you must submit any reasonable adjustment requests at least 5 weeks before booking your exam. You can submit your request during the online registration process.

  • What do I need to bring on exam day?

    You must bring: Photo ID (passport, driving licence, or AAT-approved ID card), AAT student registration details/number, pencils, eraser, and an AAT-approved non-programmable calculator.

  • How do I update my personal details with AAT?

    You can update your personal details directly in your MyAAT account by visiting the AAT website.

  • Will my mock AAT exam or practice tests take place online?

    Yes, mock exams and practice tests are taken online through your AAT learning portal.

  • Can I have a break during my AAT assessment?

    Breaks are only allowed if they have been approved as a reasonable adjustment in advance, or if they are scheduled parts of a multi-part exam.
