MTS’s new venue is located in Belfast’s newly rejuvenated ‘Gasworks’ area of central Belfast, just off the Ormeau Road. The Gasworks site was previously an important Victorian industrial site, where natural gas was manufactured from coal, and the gas was used to power and light the whole of the city of Belfast.
MTS’s decision to expand its operations to Northern Ireland is a testament to Ulsters’ huge potential for growth and development and comes at the same time as the new post-Brexit Windsor Framework has been put forward for facilitating business growth in the region, allowing Northern Ireland to freely trade with both Great Britain and the EU.
Northern Ireland has a rich cultural heritage and outstanding natural beauty, which attracts tourists from all over the world providing a vibrant and diverse place to live and work. The city of Belfast, in particular, has undergone significant regeneration in recent years, with world-class museums (the Titanic Belfast Museum being the jewel in the crown), galleries, shopping and lively nightlife.
Drawing on the large student populations attending Belfast’s three main universities and two university colleges (Queen's University Belfast, Ulster University, The Open University in Northern Ireland, St Mary's University College and Stranmillis University College), MTS has begun offering its own IELTS English language exams at the new exam centre for university entry or employment reasons. MTS also partners with the British Council for IELTS for UKVI (visas and immigration) purposes and will run exams at the new Belfast exam centre.
Students studying accountancy in Belfast, Derry, Lisburn, Newtownabbey or anywhere else in Northern Ireland may also be pleased to know that MTS will be offering ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) exams – as well as AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) exams at the new Belfast site.
MTS’s new exam centre in Belfast is at:
2nd floor, 16 Cromac Place, Belfast, BT7 2JB
We look forward to welcoming all our test takers in Belfast!
