From Canada and Australia to Kenya, India, and the Caribbean islands, the Commonwealth is a diverse tapestry of nations spanning Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe, and the Pacific. Commonwealth countries are amongst the world’s largest, smallest, richest and poorest nations.
Commonwealth Day, celebrated annually on the second Monday in March, is a vibrant and meaningful occasion that unites all 56 countries around shared values, history, and culture. The Head of the Commonwealth, His Majesty King Charles III, was present for a celebratory service held today at Westminster Abbey in London, and if you missed it, you can watch it on the BBC's YouTube channel.
