We know that life doesn’t always go to plan. Whether it’s an unexpected change in your schedule, a family commitment, or simply realising you need a little more time to prepare, having to move your IELTS test date shouldn’t be something that adds to your stress – or costs you money.

That’s why we’re introducing our IELTS Test Transfer Promise. If you’ve booked an IELTS test with MTS and need to move it to a different date, you can now do so completely free of charge. No fees, no fuss.

What’s changed?

Previously, transferring your IELTS test to a new date came with a £45 administration fee. We’ve listened to our test takers and decided to scrap that fee entirely. From now on, you can transfer your test to a different available date at any time, right up until 24 hours before your original test. It won’t cost you a penny.

To transfer your test, simply fill in our online transfer form and we’ll take care of the rest.

Why we’re doing this

We believe that flexibility shouldn’t come at a price. Your IELTS test is an important step – whether you’re applying for a visa, a university place, or a professional qualification – and we want you to take it when you’re genuinely ready, not just because you feel locked into a date.

Unforeseen circumstances can affect anyone. You might fall ill, have a change in travel plans, or face a scheduling conflict you didn’t see coming. Equally, you might realise as your test date approaches that you’d benefit from another week or two of preparation. Whatever the reason, our IELTS Test Transfer Promise means you can move your test without worrying about losing money on top of everything else.
